Cleaning expectation
Guests are asked to leave the house just as they found it. That includes cleaning and preparing the house for the next guest. This keeps rates low and the house well cared for. A $75 deposit applies if cleaning isn't completed.
Things to do before you leave
A quick checklist to leave the house ready for the next guest.
- Wash, dry, and put away linens and towels (laundry supplies in the garage).
- Remake the beds. Extra linens are in the bedroom closets; futon sheets are in the downstairs hallway closet.
- Wash and put away dishes; clean the kitchen.
- Clean the bathrooms and replace towels.
- Furnace is on a timer. Instructions are on the thermostat.
- Gas stove: switch is on the top right rear of the stove. Please turn it off before leaving.
- Remove food from the refrigerator.
- Take trash to the outside container (east of the garage) and replace liners inside.
- Sweep floors (broom in garage; built-in vacuum outlet is under the kitchen sink).
- Turn all lights off and close all windows.
- Lock the front door and the back sliding door.
